Eyeswitch Intensity | universal tablet holder, 8-fold touch button

This handy universal iPad mount with integrated charger is combined with an 8 fold Intensity switch. You can adjust the height of the connector according to your iPad type. In a few seconds, your iPad becomes wall-mounted. Thanks to the Intensity switch, you can directly operate your home automation, even when the iPad is not present. If necessary, it is very easy to demount the iPad and supporting bracket while maintaining a sleek designer look thanks to the Intensity 8 fold switch. This product is available with a USB-C or Lightning connector in all metal finishes. For the lightning connector version, a direct LAN kit is available.

Available in four variations: Stainless Steal, Natural Anodized Aluminium, Aluminium Black and Aluminium White (powder-coated RAL 9016) for a seamless, "disappearing" effect on light-colored walls.

Functions

Touch: Every touch zone has a double function with both short and long touch capability. Touching at least two buttons at the same time activates the multi-touch which has both a short as a long multitouch function. For an Intensity with 4 touch zones, this adds up to 10 touch functions.
Temperature: Thermostat function through its built-in temperature sensor or by connecting an external KNX temperature sensor.
LED feedback: All switches have individual dimmable RGB LED feedback per touch zone, which can be customized according to your wishes via the ETS software of KNX.
Other functionalities: Dimming, blind control, shutter control, scene module, timers, basic logic functions, up / down counters

Installation, mounting

Electrical Installation Requirements
Unlike standard KNX push buttons, you must run two types of wiring to the installation site.
KNX bus (TP): Standard green cable (J-Y(St)Y 2x2x0.8) for communication and power supply to the integrated 8-channel controller.
High-voltage power (230 V AC): To power the iPad charger. Without this connection, the tablet will not charge.
Data cable (Optional): If you plan to use the EYE_LAN_KIT for a stable wired internet connection for the tablet (instead of Wi-Fi), you must also run an FTP/UTP cable.

Surface-mounted
A standard large-format mounting box is used.
The panel protrudes slightly over the wall surface (approx. 14 mm).
Suitable for retrofitting or where a fully flush-mounted design is not required.

Flush-mounted - Trimless installation
Performed using special mounting templates from our partner Xillo.
Procedure: A composite box is installed into the drywall or masonry, which is then filled and painted.
The Eyeswitch is flush with the wall (flush mount).

Installation space
Depth: It is needed at least 50–60 mm of free depth in the wall.
Space for the power supply: The installation includes a power module (transformer) that converts 230 V to USB-C voltage. It must be securely housed in the space behind the panel.

Hardware setup
Adjustable connector: Eyeswitch features a height-adjustable USB-C connector. During installation, it must be precisely centered according to the specific iPad generation so that the tablet slides smoothly into the dock.
Security: The tablet is held in the dock mechanically and magnetically. Some versions allow for a secure lock to prevent the tablet from being easily removed (suitable for public spaces).
